Results and Ofsted

OFSTED INSPECTION - FEB 2016

Our school was inspected on 2nd and 3rd of February. The final report was released on Friday, 12th February and we are delighted to announce that we were graded as OUTSTANDING IN ALL AREAS. A copy of the report is available at the bottom of this page.

Early Years Foundation Stage Profile
 
In 2016 our Reception pupils scored the highest results we have achieved since the EYFS profile was introduced With 82.5% of pupils achieving a Good Level of Development, (GLD). In particular, this year we managed to close the gap between boys and girls and children eligible for free school meals, (FSM), compared with those who are not, (NFSM).

YEAR ONE PHONICS SCREENING TEST

In 2016 87% of our pupils passed the Phonics Screening Test. 5 of this cohort were pupils in our small specialist class. 91% of the pupils in our mainstream classes passed the test. The national pass rate was 81%.

In 2015 90% of our Year One pupils passed the test compared with 77% nationally.

Children who did not pass the test in Year One re took the test at the end of Year Two in June 2016. By the end of Year Two 100% of pupils had passed the test compared with 91% nationally.

YEAR TWO RESULTS

2016 saw the introduction of the new style SAT tests. These were administered and the results were used along with class teachers' other assessments to identify which children had achieved all of the end of year objectives for core subjects in the National Curriculum.

In Reading 87% of pupils achieved or exceeded the end of year objectives compared with 74% nationally.

In Writing 77% of pupils achieved or exceeded the end of year objectives compared with 65% nationally.

In Mathematics 83% of pupils achieved the end of year objectives compared with 73% nationally.
