We held a Big Read event after school to further promote a love of reading. This fabulous event was organised in partnership with our PTA.

Some of the team from Trafford's Library Service set up a stall to get people to sign up to use their local library and it was great to see how many families went over to get registered.

We also had the pleasure of having two published authors in attendance - Sarah Parkinson, a former pupil at our school, and Penny Neville Lee, one of our parents who is an illustrator and an author. Sarah held some story sessions for us and Penny delivered some illustration workshops. The children loved them!

We had a book mark design activity available and lots of pupils brought in books they had read for our book stall.

All in all the event was a great success and we have had some lovely feedback from our families and our special guests too.

A special thank you to Jo Gray for helping to organise this event and getting us such great raffle prizes - thanks too to our PTA and staff who volunteered at the event for us.
