School to School Support
We provide school to school support in a range of ways.
Our Headteacher, Miss Cathy Graham, carries out whole school reviews to help schools prepare for Ofsted. She carries out whole school subject reviews for English and Mathematics and EYFS and Key Stage One reviews. These reviews can include data scrutiny/ book reviews/ learning walks/ lesson observations. Cathy is an accredited moderator and can support school with moderation activities too. Cathy can support with target setting and action planning. She has also supported headteachers and governors with the recruitment and induction of new staff.
Cathy also provides support for new school leaders through coaching sessions and can provide bespoke support around a variety of areas relating to Leadership and Management and School Improvement.
She works in partnership with the Alliance for Learning Teaching School and Trafford Council in doing direct work with schools in difficulty.
Our English Lead, Mr Michael Hughes, provides support for Key Stage One leads, English Leads and individual teachers in other schools. He has helped staff to improve their practice and develop the planning and assessment process to maximise the impact on learning and pupil progress.
Our SENDCO, Michelle Tucker, provides direct support for new SEND Co ordinators in other schools to help them to ensure they have the right policies and systems in place. She also provides direct support for teachers and teaching assistants working with children with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, helping them to create inclusive classroom environments and advising on teaching strategies and resources for individual pupils with SEND. Michelle is a specialist teacher in supporting children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder and Social Communication Difficulties.
