What we do
Our Headteacher, Miss Cathy Graham, and our highly skilled team are well regarded within the local authority and beyond. Our team are committed to supporting others and sharing our Outstanding practice. We regularly host visits for School Leaders, Teachers and Teaching Assistants from other schools to help them to improve their own practice. We also provide placements for trainee teachers from several universities and SCITTs as well as higher education trainees studying for National Vocational Qualifications.
Miss Graham has been involved in providing training, development and support for school leaders and teaching staff for many years. As well as holding several leadership roles in schools, she has previously worked as an EYFS Consultant and Early Reading Consultant for Trafford Local Authority's School Improvement Service. Since joining the team at Wellfield Infants she has continued to provide training and school to school support for other schools and she has resided on Trafford's 0 to 5s Strategic Board.
Miss Graham has recently taken on the role of the Head of Hub for one of the Department for Education's Early Years Stronger Practice Hubs. In her role as Head of Hub she leads a team responsible for providing professional development programmes and network opportunities for practitioners working with children aged 0 - 5 years across Greater Manchester and beyond.
Wellfield Infant School is a strategic partner for the Bright Futures Teaching School Hub. Miss Graham sits on their partnership board and she carries out training for their teacher trainees.
Miss Graham also supports Trafford Council's School Improvement team in supporting local school leaders.
