WORLD BOOK DAY - MARCH 2021

The children had an amazing treat this year on World Book Day. They had virtual visits from two fabulous authors - Michael Rosen and Trish Cooke!

Ahead of Michael Rosen's visit, Miss Graham organized a competition for the children to design a "Michael Rosen Superfan" badge for her to wear on the visit. The competition entries were so fabulous that Miss Graham had to pick four winners! Here are the winning designs....

Michael Rosen did three poetry sessions for us - these were for our

Mrs Tucker's class, the Reception children, Year One and Year Two. The children in school and the children doing remote learning at home all watched together - and they were able to ask the author questions about his poetry and where he got the ideas from.

The Nursery children enjoyed a visit from Mrs Sullivan's favourite author, Trish Cooke. Trish read her story "So Much" for us.

Mrs Sullivan showed Trish Cooke the Nursery children's own version of So Much that they made together last term with themselves as the characters.
