Bright Futures Early Years Stronger Practice Hub

Our Headteacher, Miss Graham, recently held the post of the Head of Hub for one of the Departments for Education's two Early Years Stronger Practice Hubs in the North West. This post is now held by Donna Lamey, who as well as working for Bright Futures is one of our school governors here.

The Hub supports early years practitioners from across Greater Manchester and beyond who are working with children aged 0 to 5 years old, providing training and networking opportunities as well as funding for nationally approved professional development programmes. Our school is one of the named partners for the Hub and, although Miss Graham has now stepped out of her lead role in the Hub, our team continue to work in partnership with the Hub to help to fulfil their their delivery plan.

This includes our school hosting Network and transition events and members of our leadership team helping with the delivery of Hub training. We also regularly host visits for practitioners from other early years settings, including childminders and day nursery staff. Mrs Douglas, our EYFS Lead also carries out advisory visits to other schools and settings on behalf of the Hub.
